Male parakeets are excellent talkers..They talk real fast between other chitter chatter noise they make..It's real cute. Here's a link to my favorite budgie talking on Youtube..

i've had three that talked up a storm, the first one i taught, had him saying, i'm a chicken hawk, altho the first time he tried to say it, it came out, i'm a chicken, ended up spraying coffee all over my desk laughing. my second , corky, taught him to say, i'm a eagle, course all of them say i love you, your mommas little sweet birdie, in corkys case, he said your mommas sweet little blue birdie, but all of them could say over 75 words, wrote down and counted one time just to see.
