I don't see many snakes although I know we have them--see them sunbathing on the road when it gets cool in the fall. However I have been told that buckeyes love snakes and lizards and mice and I have several among my flock. If that is the case, I would assume other chickens like them also and that if they get the snake when it is small, earthworm size, then it won't get any bigger. Over the years but not recently my husband has found very small snakes in the one foot range.
