I honestly don't know if this goes here but....how do you do chicken math? Maybe a dumb question...but as the saying goes There Are No Dumb Questions

Basically chicken math goes something like this

You want 3 chickens, got to pick them out and come home with 6.

You loose one, go to replace it and come home with 4 more.

So, now 3 = 9

My 5 now equal 30 some!

Go to a chicken swap to get 4 chicks. Come home with 9. Lose 3, send DH to get 2 and he comes home with 5. Decide the next week to get the two you wanted.

So 4=13.

Now, I just discovered that I have listed in my signature 1 more chick than I really have. So I REALLY NEED to get at least 1 more.

Chicken swap again this weekend. Do I dare go?

And babies NEVER count--only bona fide hens and roosters.

See with chicken math you're learning something new everyday. According to the statement above, I've just gone from 50 to 0.

Chicken Math also seems to affect those opposed to having chickens. For instance any number of chickens looks like "a million of those stupid things" Once won over and yet still in denial - that same person will count 35 chickens as "20"

LOL! Woot I like chicken math! Funny thing since i hate regular math

So.... I have 15 chickens right now. 4 of them are bantams...that would total up to 2 right? Then I have four standard size...that makes 6 now. The other 7 are chicks. Woot! I can tell all my cousins that think I'm crazy that I only have 6 chickens in chicken world! YAY

ETA: Wait...did just fail math again?
