@ Mahonri, no...I wouldn't breed them. Hope they're all hens so you can at least enjoy their eggs. I discovered that my big grey cockerel, who is just 5 wks old, has developed a crooked toe. It wasn't evident until today. I'm disappointed, but I do have other cockerels including another grey to use in my breeding program.

I also lucked out with no crooked toes so far. One of my 14 did have a crooked toe when she was a day or two old but it straightened out w/in the first week I had her. It sounds like something that could develop as they age so I will be on the lookout nonetheless.

1 of the older ones has a crooked toe. They do have some long toes, I wonder if they get crunched in the shell ?
