Question about the roll out nest boxes... what happens when you want the broody hens to hatch their own eggs? Do you have to use a different nest box, or is there a way to keep the eggs from rolling out? Sorry if this is a dumb question.. I'm a newbie and storing info for future reference.

my boyfriend built these with scrap wood.. there are 21 of them for 14 hens.... they use all but one of them

Since we have welsummers, they are very hard to tell apart.. so we call them what ever name is on the nesting box LOL

If 14 of them are using 20 boxes, some have more than one name...

here's the one I use. It is made from a dresser drawer. I just slide out the nest for gathering and/or cleaning.
