i have a 4 year old male donkey, he is not castrated and has lived alone his whole 4 years. he lives next door to a male shetland pony, they are seperated by sheep wire and get along well, nuzzling each other over the fence and standing side by side for most of the time the pony is out (when the pony is out, hes only allowed out in his field 2 hours a day)
anyhow ive been advertising a lot of my chickens for sale, and a lady would like to swap a young (5 month old male) donkey for 10 of my chickens. its a very good swap....but im not sure if 2 male donkeys can live together?? especially if neither are castrated?
there are no females in the area (the nearest 'female' donkey would be in a few villages over)

would it likely work or end in disaster?

they *Should* be fine, on of the top mini donkey breeding farms in the north east keep their studs together during the off season, but during breeding season they will probably need to be separated. But the easiest answer would to be castrate them both and you could eliminate the issue.

My mini stallion and mini Jack get along fine. You could ask her to bring him over to see how they get along before sealing the deal......
