I haven't seen this topic, so here goes:
How do you make chick shoes? How do you put them on so that they stay on? Does anyone have pictures of chick shoes?

Crooked toes on my guinea chickI used a small circle of card stock taped to the bottom of a day old chick's feet with sport tape. They fell off after 3 days and her feet were fine then. She looked like a chick with duck feet! Just make sure all the toes are taped into the proper position.

I find bandaids work great for this...

I had a chick with curled toes and made little cardboard boots (hence her name is Boots). I made her wear them for a week, I had to make a new pair every couple days as her feet were growing and they helped her toes some. She still has crooked toes but not as bad as they would have been. I traced her foot on the cardboard and then cut it out. I used strips of paper/guaze tape to wrap each toe to hold it in place. I tried the duck foot bandaid methed too but it didn't work as well for me. You can substitute the sticky parts of bandaids for the paper tape.

Someone on here mentioned doing boots for my chick too that broke her toe. For that, I was able to do the band-aid method since she was only a couple days old and her feet so delicate. A couple days later, she was fine. (My DH thought I simply lost my mind til I told him that many others in this forum have done it, hehehe

They look so sad with crooked feet and then so cute with their little booties.
it's nice to see them taken care of so well.
