Thank you! I bought him from GaryDean
Ha I was just thinking it looked a lot like his stock!!! Congrats.

Good comments from Muttsfan. A very fine looking boy overall! Another thing I see is the slight flop in his comb in the previous picture, hopefully it doesn't get any worse. If it does, just keep an eye on the next generation, he should surely produce offspring with combs that will be even better.

Thank you, I'll try to remember that!

Steen this male shows alot of promise to him.. while his saddle may not have more grey barring...

lets take a look at other Grey Barring on him...
first loot at the shoulders, Grey barring right there(whith chestnut, some only have chestnut barring which is different)

his back and his creast also have grey barring, the Sickles are also light grey as the SOP calls for it..
secondaries dark grey more clearly marked; coverts grey barred

I would say color wise is is 95% with the UK Standard.. Such a great speciment

when i showed pics the other day on the legbar thread you said the other one was better becaues he showed grey in his saddle. and that the this one was almost white in the saddle with no grey. This is the one you said was not as good. same roo below as above

these were taken with the same camera but different time of day and in a different location on the land. less shaded on the second pic and sun all around. its really hard to catch the color just how it is in front of you. the first pic is what he looks like in person. although this one below he is older. on the first pic you can see cresting only on one side of his comb. that has stayed the same and pushed his mature comb blade over just a bit. and That s pattern to the front of his comb is the same also. He was hatched from a perfectly straight comb non crested roo. the hen had a large crest and very wavy flop comb. But she was cream and very very nice for form as well as laid the largest eggs ive ever gotten from a hen. which was really nice since they were all pullet eggs and all of my pullets had just came into POL at that time. Im going to use him even if it pushes my combs back on this pairing a year or so. He grew twice as fast as any CCL ive ever had and he is a bit bigger than the other roos just like his mom was a bit bigger than the other pullets. This guy will raise production growth rate and egg size in my flock.. here is mom and dad.

I would say he has too much color only on the Secondaries, which calls for grey barring, other than that, he looks Ok, he is missing some of the grey barring on the saddle, but he does show some grey barring on the shoulders(hard to see because of his allowed chestnut) his tail angle I'm not sure if you are going for the Leghorn type tail angle or the current state of GFF tail angles
