As a long time commercial chicken farmer as well as a hobbyist chicken raiser, a lot of hatching egg producers give away their over sized eggs, I know because I worked for one as a kid and there is a hatching egg producer next to my sister-in-law's house who still does the same thing. First the hatchery won't buy the double yolk eggs, and second the hatchery will dock the hatching egg producer X number of dollars or cents for each unusable egg submitted for sale. It seems that these farmers may be way ahead of some of their customers and gaining on them at every step.
