Green eggs cholesterol free??

I tried the links, too, and was told the pages didn't exist.

I DO know that the British Government has relaxed its views on how many eggs a person should eat as the cholesterol content (and the type of cholesterol)is lower these days than 20 years ago. The change is due to the restriction in use of animal products in chicken feed. As many of us give our chickens no animal feed and they have large areas to free range, they are likely to be extra healthy. I can't claim that mine have no animal produce at all, though, as they will eat anything that crawls, flies, hovers or walks given half a chance (plus they occasionally steal the dog and cat food from them).

we have raise these chickens for years simply because our breeder told us their eggs are cholesterol free. they are great layers, good with other chickens, likes to be petted, and given treats, ours free range in the yard and nothing bothers them, , we all eat the green and blue eggs, and our cholesterol has not went up, so far I have found nothing online absolutly stating that these chickens lay cholesterol free eggs, however, we eat them regularly. , which of course is only one opinion, I will continue my search on information, and will post what ever I can find on here, there is an abundance of the chickens here in our area, we live in north rural florida, and a lot of people raise them here. So much that you cant sell the eggs, or any home grown eggs, we are flooded with them!!! well, tell more later. do your own search araconda, or auracona, or arocona

I actually researched this more through my doctor and she said that no eggs are cholesterol free but eggs that are free range rather than caged tend to have 1/3 the amount of bad cholesterol I think it's LDL's than caged eggs. Also she said that eggs are a good source of the good cholesterol HDL? (I probably am reversing these if so I apologize) and helps to raise the good cholesterol the same as poultry, fish, and nuts help with this. She is actually encouraging my husband to eat hard boiled eggs as a snack to try and raise up his good cholesterol and to stay away from and limit foods like red meat and pork products. So maybe in a way it's true but a little bit of a stretch on the truth lol.

I have heard this many times. My understanding is that the variety of chicken that lays the green eggs produces a very low cholesterol egg but that it is not totally free of cholesterol.

I thought for yrs green and blue eggs were cholesterol free hence bought 2 Araucanians. My neighbor says funny they don't sell them in stores which made me think twice.. So am glad to know what's what with the green and blue eggs.

I just had someone ask me if I was doing chickens that lay green egg because he had been told that they are cholesterol free. Has anyone else heard about this. I told him I had not heard about this but that I would check for him. Anyone have any experience with this?
Yes there are chickens that lay green eggs which are low cholesterol. I raised chickens that laided these eggs and they go for $7.00 or more a dozen.
