I hope you both will be okay and that the dog owner and 911 operator get in trouble!!!!

This dog is feral and it's been at my grand daughter's school and running all over probably a 10 block radius. I see it every once in a while. It's very thin and not a huge dog. My dog got bit by a black widow a while back and is just now gaining weight again, although she hasn't eatten since last night.

I had just put my dog out front and leashed her so I can could some things together. I heard a growl, then she barked and then growled and then I heard a full blown dog fight. She's never been in a fight. She's a Cane Corso, so not a small dog, but not as big as they have become since more Americans got into breeding them. She's almost 7 and kind of showing her age. I ran out for the door at the first growl and didn't get out till the dog had her down by the neck and wouldn't let her up. I grabbed a broom to give her room, so I could get her leash unhooked. I figured if she was going to go down, she needed to fight her was out, but she didn't have the room. Then the dog let go, crouched and hit her in the flank and kept shaking. I finally got her unhooked, I'm screaming for someone to call 911 and my next door neighbors are standing on their porch laughing their butts off. My grand daughter was in that house. Just glad she wasn't outside. So my son grabbed my cell and called 911 and the dispatcher didn't transfer to a local service, so Isis is really hurt and heads to the door and the dog grabs her leg and holds on. They get insode the house and I'm still screaming and beating the hell out of the Pitt and I can still hear laughing from next door. I grabbed the phone and the dispatcher is asking if my address is correct and I'm telling her yes and the dog is in the house attacking us. That's when she says she'll contact AC and hangs up. I mean you have someone telling you that there's a dog in your house attacking you and your dog and she reports a bite? Oh and then these jerk grown men go into the house where my grand daughter is and they laugh and tell her her dog is dead. Joking and laughing the whole time. Told the AC about it after she called and then headed out to find the dog and she was shocked. I've given those people food when I knew they didn't have any and let them use my cell and given them water to flush their toilet when I couldn't afford to pay my own bill and I have no idea who all the men on that porch were, but I'll know when I get their girlie man giggles when they see me.

Sorry just still so mad right now and I really hurt.

There are few stores that sell them, they have fertile written on the top. Mostly health/natuaral food stores. I think when most people see fertile eggs, they think they are eating baby chicks.

OMG!!! I can't believe the dispatcher did that! Especially after they knew it was in your house!!!

Recently here a Pitt broke into a house in Melbourne and killed a little girl, it's a sad world when people aren't safe from vicious dogs in their own home!!!

I hope you are all feeling better soon, I feel so sorry for you and poor Isis.

OMG and those guys just stood there laughing and not helping!!! What a bunch of _C_E_N_S_O_R_E_D_.

You could have been seriously injured or even killed and they just stand there and watch.

Karma has a way of taking care of people like that.

Glad you're alright. Maybe I missed it, but did your dog survive?

She's alive but very sore. She just lays on her blanket and doesn't even pick her head up to look around. They kept asking if my dog bit me or the other dog. The other dog! It happend while I was trying to push it out with the front door. It could have been so much worse. I got it out told me son to get Isis in the bathroom and had to open the door again to see if the idiots had sent my grand daughter home while all this was going on. She plays over there all the time. The dad, when he's home makes her leave, but he was home and I'm not sure who any of the men on the porch were. I was too busy yelling and beating the crap out of that dog. Broke my broom and there's blood all over it, but I know it belongs to Isis. She has bites all over. It got her face near her right eye, her neck, flank and back legs. Thing that makes me sick is I have always fought against BSL and people who toss these dogs out like garbage or mistreat or don't control them, make it so hard on the people who are responsible owners. I love Pitts. Some of the nicest dogs I've ever been around, and I've trained for 40 years have been Pitts. My daughter and grand daughter always felt safe when they had theirs. He was the worlds most awesome dog though. Truely amazing.

I can't believe grown men would watch and laugh and then go laugh and tease a 5 year old that her dog was dead. I'm so mad and I still have to put it off due to funds, but the minute I can get 2 more Cane Corsos, I'm doing a little protection training and make sure they know it's been done. Let them hop my fence to get their dang ball next time they're out there playing volley ball! They keep their dog and a crate! Not a dog crate. It's a wooden box that's closed up and he rarely even sees sunlight. I told Makayla not to go over there anymore. Then she told me I should call the police, because there are guns over there. Oh great. Now she tells me. Talk about getting sick to your stomach. How the heck does a 5 year old know you have weapons?

Don't bother with the police, call the Humane Society or Animal Control. They will be able to handle this situation better. They should be listed in your phone book or you can call your local police department directly and they will be able to connect you. Explain your situation to them and it will most likely be resolved.

If you were bitten and it broke the skin, then there are several protocols they are required to follow.

Last year here in Oregon a Cougar broke into a families home and killed there dog!
