Jo-Jo the Androgynous Chicken: Sex my Black Australorp

Well do u know how if not in the reply box up the top there is a B a strange looking thing and a pic of a mountain with a sun press on the last one then it is straight forward after that

Hello, I am not sure when you posted this, but I am having the same problem. WHAT DO I DO? lol. We have exactly the same issue with the same breed, can you tell me anything? We are going nuts, because it is not laying time for them yet and so we dont know a thing. HELP LOL.

Not so sure about what your saying about the sickle feathers on the Lorps. I got a half dozen this spring, and as they were not pullets was unsure which to pick. Been watching them close, two have long thin saddle feathers, they are roo's and have mocked challenged each other a couple times, Facing each other and raising their neck feathers etc.
They snuck a bantam into the mix, definitely a hen,(looks like a crow lol, named her that) two others short rounded saddle features, one just not sure yet, but thing is they all, except that one bantam and one other seem to have sickle feathers that curve . First time for Lorps with me, but these are the hardest of any chickens I have had, to differentiate between the sex's
But anyway, as I was unfamiliar with this breed till now, (in the sense no one seemed to have them for sale) I have seen pics that seem to confirm the hens may have curved sickle feathers. Pics vary a lot. Can anyone confirm or disprove this? thanks

But yeah, Joseph is a nice looking bird.
They sell collars that stifle their crow, almost seems cruel, but really doesn't seem to bother them.
Will keep zoning off one's back I suppose

As for spurs, first flock of white leghorns had some 35 years ago, the hens all had a huge spur, haven't seen that since, wonder what inbreeding etc does to them at times.
