Championsumatra: do you ever get any sumatras that have beaks that are too short and tails that are too low for show quality sumatras?

no I don't. the sumatra breeders and poultry judges say to me that they really like the way I breed my sumatras.

which is it?hu.gif   In any case, I really admire those of you who choose to keep and breed these...not sure I could do that.  Doesn't your entire set-up have to be "different" than what it would be with non-ornamental chicken breeds?  How do you keep their tails nice and long and pretty?  I would imagine they'd drag the ground from time to time, yes?  Does that break off their feathers?  I guess that part can't really be prevented?  They sure are pretty. =]  The tail on charcoal and white one reminds me of a cheerleader's pom-pon! lol.png

My sumatras feathers are really strong. I never have a problem with them breaking off.
