Last week my neighbour started an unnessasary argument with me

The argument was because i was doing something in my own home and decided to use a fowl word, the window was open and he heard me which is no issue as im in my own home saying what i want in my own home

but no he started shouting so i looked out the window and he was all shouting saying what you swearing are you swearing at me

i tried to calm him down and i was in my own home and what ever i said was within my property (i was not even outside)

he was no i heard it etc etc etc

he even said if i hear you swear again regardless of who it is to i will break your teeth, so i called the police as that was threatening behaviour

now today i just opened a letter saing that one of my neighbours complained about my cockeral and that his noise is too much

i know its him as i have had a crowing cockeral for months now

and even when i got rid of my first cockeral my other neigbhour came knocking saying why did i get rid of his alarm clock

IM SOOOOOO UPSET

he is a cream legbar and a good boy and to loose him is to loose part of my family

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO VINDICTIVE

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO VINDICTIVE
Thats why I love having at least 5 acres to live on, ususally you can't hear or get into anyone else's business & vice versa. And yes ppl are vindictive...its pathetic. And yea if that jerk threatens you again keep calling the cops, thats ridiculous

Well I once complained to AC about my neighbors cats using the dirt around my house foundation as a toilet.Few days later they came over and complained about a dog I had at the time, and said if it keeps on barking they will report ME to AC.It is common for people to want to get back at others.

I would be cautious about your neighbor.Anyone who freaks out that much over another person cussing is not right in the head.Sure people don't like to hear it,but he went a bit over the top considering it was not even directed at him.

Best not to EVER speak to the neighbor. No matter what.Nothing you ever say will be good for him,and it will just escalate things. As for the crowing if you are legal then ignore him,but be carefu he can not poison your animals.

Neighbors can make or break your time at home.Hopefully he will back off.

Lol, reminds me of an article I read this one guy who was arrested when he told his neighbor," When I get done takin' a shiz I am gonna kick yer a**."

Well, that is a mean neighbor. Check your local laws about having rooster. You can even try to cage him in a closed garage during his noisiest hours. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

funny you mention that his cat dumps in my fig plant and i got pics but i thought oh well let it go, think i wont now

unfortunatly local ordinances dont count here but country wide law and they have got me on

Environmental Protection Act 1990 Section 80

i will be calling them tmoz and axplaining my case

one very major factor i will be adding is although they wont tell me who reported me i know it was my neighbour so i will mention the argument to them and say to them before they make their decision on weather my cockeral is noisy they need to look at the fact that he has been croing for almost 6months now and all of a sudden they complaint comes in after i have this argument

so is it really a noisy cockreal that is the issue or teh fact the neighbout is just trying to hit me where it hurts most

btw here is the letter

Sorry about your cranky neighbor... Is not normal that someone react that way for words that are not directed to them, so he must be a little crazy so is better not to talk to him as someone advices.. As for that letter it does not says is forbid to have a rooster, it just have , some advices on the matter.(see if you can meet some of them).. If you call the police you should have proof of that to show them is a revenge from the neighbor, even if the rooster is noisy you may have your friendly neighbor (the one that says ,misses your other rooster) writing a simple letter stating they don't consider your rooster a nuisance... don't say nothing on the subject as loud that the bad neighbor can hear... try to look calm and at peace to make it look like you never get that letter... Hope & pray this situation resolve favorably for you and very soon. I know how you feel cause I love my rooster and would be very sad & upset is something like that ever happens. Blessings

i called Natalie Worley today and had a nice long chat

its not the rooster that is the issue but the noise that he creates and at what times he creates it

be it a barking dog or crowing rooster its a noise ordinence rather then a rooster thing

so she said to me she will await reply from the complaintant to tell her what times the issues occur and if they are at wrong times i.e 5-6am then i have to loose him

i told her straight as i dont like lieing or witholding information that my roo does crow at 5.30am and obviously during the day

she said day time is fine as long as it not compatition crowing and excessive but the 5.30am is an issue and depending on the complainer she will take action

she also added that if the complaintant does not get back to her with times of teh noise then she will close the matter and i can carry on as normal

im hopping they become lazy and not follow it up

as for the monitoring they wont do that till they complaintant gets back to them with times

what she is waiting for is to see what times the complaintant says

if he fails to mention 5.30am then that means he doesnt hear the roo and is fast asleep and is anoyyed at the day time crowing witch i can argue as daytime garden paties and music is alowed till 8pm so why not an occasional roo crow be any different

That's just crazy! I can believe people sometimes! Well, he can be glad he has you as a neighbor and not me, I am guilty of having a terrible mouth- when that mower or weed eater won't start, cussing makes it better! ;) And I have a very noisy rooster to, and my son likes to crow real loud like him to! Hope it all works out okay for you!

My landlord tried something along these lines AFTER watching me build my coops & fill them with birds. He tried to say my coops were too close to the house, noisy, smelly, birds in the house, etc. I got a letter from my landlord's "poker buddy" the law director. I called their office & asked them what it was all about. They told me who had turned me in & everything, even tho the landlord had tried to lie & tell me he hadn't. I invited them to come take a look at my coops, measure them, check the babies & injured bird I had in the house, etc. They took almost a week to bother to come (obviously NOT an urgent matter), measured the distance from the back corner of my house to my coops (I already knew I exceeded regulation by more than 10 ft) & left without ever coming to the door. I never would have even known they were there if my roommate hadn't seen them walk by his window & told me. When I can smell the dog crap & barking/howling over my birds/coops from 3 doors down while standing 2 feet from my coops, then they better not have an issue with my birds without removing all those stinking dogs as well & I told them so too...LOL Needless to say, haven't heard ANYTHING from them since & cops even backed me up on a couple complaints telling them I was completely within guidelines (this was from a girl who stole birds from me & I caught her trying to sell them on Facebook & turned her in).
Therefore, point of my ramblings would be this: Stand your ground. The letter is basically telling you they are on your side with this & you are gonna hafta have an EXTREMELY obnoxious roo or several very loud roos before they do anything about it. You can also let them know about the incident with the neighbor & the fact that all the other neighbors like your roo. Invite them to speak with your other neighbors on your behalf.
