What Is The Most Common Breed To Go Broody ?

Our buff Orpington hen is the only hen we've had go broody. But....We added a silkie and a frizzle to the flock after seeing almost all of a friend chicks being hatched/raised by their hens. Not sure they even use their incubator anymore lol Good luck!
 
We've had lots of broody Cochin bantams and full-size Cochins. Ours have made great mothers. Our broody champ before she died was a little Old English Game bantam. She raised many clutches of her own eggs and other eggs from our hens.
