Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We have a broody. She has been sitting for about 5 days now. I knew where she was, but when I went to close in the chickens, she wasn't there. She wasn't on the roost either. Missing altogether!!! So, I came back inside and looked at my chart, thinking I had the wrong number of chickens in my head. No, we have 16, 3 being pure BOs and she was one of them. She is clearly missing. Looked everywhere!!! We have other coops out there that aren't being used. Not in any of those either. :idunno

Then I opened one of the side doors to the coop, right where she should be nesting, and there she was!!! We put some fresh straw down yesterday and the other girls had buried her in straw!!! LOLOL I couldn't see her from the other door at all. Just straw. :lau

So relieved. Made for a couple laughs and a good evening once I knew everyone was safe and sound.

Oh! And the chicks (10 weeks old) headed up to the roosting bars for the first time !!! :woot First batch that didn't have to be taught to do that!!!

Hi guys!
I’m curious who here lives in unincorporated king county. I’m needing to move w my rooster and wondering where I can go aside from Everett (they allow Roos).
I know of several families in White center with roosters. Is this because it’s not enforced in unincorporated areas? What are the “rules”? Does anyone have a roo near Seattle? Or know of anywhere I can look?
Thanks ! 🙏🏼
Photo of my Eggy for attention 🤍🥰

Unincorporated county rules are fairly lax if I recall, as long as you have enough land. I think it's 3 hens up to half acre, uh... then I forgot what the restrictions are between 0.5 and 1 acre. Over 1 acre it's like a free for all which includes roosters as long as you have sufficient housing for the birds. Noise restrictions would be the only other thing to consider.

It should all be specified in the county ordinances.

@pennyJo1960 , do those tire planters warm up the soil so you can plant things earlier?
Seem to I have a active sourdough. I am going to add to the tomato.
The squash and beans are not in tires :frow
Ya know we did the tires as I could not bend with the med in me.
I am a old women having a ball.
I will take photos before before see if it helps.
