My little guy doesn't seem to be able to balance. He keeps falling to the right and has that eye closed. Any idea what that means?

that does not sound like good news

. Sounds like neurological issues or illness/sickness. You could try giving it a electrolyte/probiotic solution to see if it perks up?

I noticed about 4 hours ago and have given him sugar water with a little vinegar in it and as of right now he has improved tremendously but is a little wobbly. He is much less lethargic now too.

ETA:Would it be ok to put a little kombucha in the water for the probiotics?

OK he fell over again and this time I noticed his right foot is red and a little swollen. I think it may be bumblefoot but I don't see a scab.

Here is a terrible picture but every time I try to get a better one he runs to cuddle up against me and I don't have the heart to move him again.

The poor little guy didn't make it through the night. This hatch has been absolutely heartbreaking. He was the sole survivor, I didn't expect he wouldn't make it afterwards. I really would like to get some of this breed but the last thing I want is to go through another hatch this bad.

Soltaria, that is bad news! I hate to hear about your bad luck! To me, they are beautiful, docile, and gentle birds. Bielefelders, Rhodebars, and Cream Legbars go broody quite often. It is different birds of each breed. About the time I get some birds broke from sitting, more start. It is a never ending battle

Of those 3 breeds, that is my from my personal experience. I have no idea if that is common for those breeds or not.

My bielefelder's are 9 weeks old now. They are quite good sized, especially compared to my grown cream legbar hens. One cockerel is already crowing, which I really did not expect. My girls said they heard him last week, but I didn't believe it. I've heard him twice now.

They are still eating up a storm and love to go out of the pen.
