Rooster trying to kill hen

As an update, I switched the two roos and moved several of the young hens with the young roo. The young hens are not happy after three days. The roos are ok with their new homes. The leghorn hen is healed and seems fine, still laying huge eggs almost every day. The young hens not laying well and today found an egg on the ground by the fence separating the two pens. We shall see how it goes. Thanks for all the advice.

I would do this: Take this hen, with about five of her girlfriends, and isolate her in another pen.

That would work, but I have only two pens. I may add a few more young ones from the pen in with the young roo and his girls. I have not let them out for several days in the hope they will become used to the new house and pen.

You can solve this problem by taking tree cage fencing, and stretching some netting over the top. Instant cage!

Probably. I noticed tonight when the group is having their bedtime treat of scratch he pecks the hens on the head to run them away from the choice tidbits. Just hate to get down to one roo.
The ones I relocated are getting along better. I have not let them out of the pen until today. They all went right in with no delay. Egg laying is really off though.
