Hi All!

I spoil my little gang of girls so much, that I'm not sure if this is common or not but one of my ladies purrs to me quite often. It's usually when I'm checking on them, and at night. I always whisper a few "mommy" words to them and I often get that reply, sometimes in more than one "voice."

They are so full of surprises. :)
 
Oh, I love that purr, which I call a "trill."

When I hear it I know they are happy and contented. And it makes my heart go all soft and squishy, too. :)

I never, ever, expected to become attached to chickens. I never thought they had individual personalities... Until I had my own flock. Love 'em!
 
Yes mine purr as well - it's such a cute little sound

Heehhee! Well, I had not seen anyone talk about it and I wondered if I had talented girls! HA! Not really, but I figured it meant they are content little cluckers. :)
 
II guess i just noticed today the "purring"or better yet "trilling". Its very nice. Daisy is getting ready to lay her egg today & this is waht she is doing. love there little personalities. I would say she is content too!
 
We have a small chick who purrs when we hold her.... It worried me at first but I'm glad to see she's not the only one! She just vibrates with her purring....so sweet!

Haha, they definitely have their own special personality! I love it when they trill!
