i have a nice little flock for someone looking for dual purpose birds for their backyard.
the rooster is a large cochin/cuckoo marans cross and the 4 hens are pure cuckoo marans.the hens are heavy and lay nice dark eggs(not as dark as the coppers).the eggs you could hatch this spring should grow up to be nice,big birds and lay well.the males will make nice sized fryers.
these 4 girls have never gone broody for me so you will need an incubator or broody hen.
