One of my hens has stopped laying

Both my hens have been giving me an egg each pretty much every day for the three months we've had them. But this week when I locked them up early one morning, I noticed a thin shell in the cage which had been eaten (I had had two eggs the previous day and hadn't seen either go to lay an egg while they'd been out that morning). And since then - only one egg each day. I know which hen it is, and I believe she is still reasonably young.

I feed them layer pellets, with a few seeds mixed through (probably 90% pellets though) plus they get kitchen stuff too (Tins of tuna etc). It has been extremely wet here lately (maybe that's why?) and there was some mould in the coop. (We've moved the coop now to get away from that).

Any ideas what else it could be? They have grit and haven't run out at any stage.

In a related issue: when one hen is molting, do other hens sometimes stop laying too? I can't figure out why one of my hens has stopped laying. It's winter, and production is down a bit from my small flock, but this one hen hasn't given any in almost 2 weeks. I have searched the free range area on several occasions to look for naughty nests outside of the hen house. She is known for this. But her naughty nests have never been hard to find. She's not acting sick. Nor is she molting. My queen of the roost is molting- could she be influencing others even though they are not losing feathers?
thanks for the thoughts.

Thanks guys! I have noticed a couple of little bum fluff feathers floating around but nothing else. Hopefully that's all it is. I didn't realise they moulted! Lol. As long as she's ok, then I'm fine with that :D she seems pretty happy and like her normal self

I have no advice but I have a Wellsummer who didn''t lay until she was 35 weeks old and after redeeming herself with a few weeks of beautiful dark brown egg every day or two she hasn't layed once in two weeks and isn't sick or molting either. She was laying in the nest boxes but she is the "low" chicken so I am going to go check the hiding spots tomorrow!

Well I got two eggs today, so I guess she just decided that she was having a break for a couple of days :D thanks for the help guys!!
