Rooster Housing?

Whew! I've only had one rooster prior to this year. I had never thought about them still being too immature to fight.
Thanks!

I have 5 mature hens and 4 sixteen week old pullets who haven't started laying. One other young bird turned out to be a rooster. I currently have them sharing a coop and they all snuggle together on the same perch at night. Is this a bad idea? Shall I try to separate the roo? Even though the birds share a coop at night, the older ones don't forage together with the younger ones. Shall I let things alone, or is there something better that I need to do?

I'm raising long crower's so I have to get the cockerels mature to grade for longest crow. Banding the legs with different colors to tell them apart. The pullets are put in with my laying hens until breeding time next spring. There are 11 in this group they get along great and are kept busy with cucumbers and cob corn. I raise tomaru and denizli long crower's
