Who has purchased eggs from ebay ? and what was your hatch rate ?

I've brought several eggs from eBay and get mixed results to be honest. Some don't start some start and stop. I usually blame myself for not being an incubating expert. I'm incubating 12 at the mo, 6 vorwerks all doing ok at the moment from 1 seller and a 6 wyandottes (gold and silver) only 2 of those have signs of development, I think it's down to the breeder and how they look after them.

i havent ever hatched them, but my first ones are in now. I got 14 from Ebay, blrw, and I candled last night at day 12, 8 of them are definately growing and active, 2 were infertile and 2 quit, and there are 2 possible quitters, but I will recheck those tomorrow.

I candled tonight and its day 7 and well from my 10 white silkie eggs 3 are growing 2 have quit and 5 never started growing. My 6 wellsummer eggs 3 are growing that I can see and 3 of them are too dark to see in the shell, from my 6 light Sussex eggs 5 are happily growing and 1 never started. So in total I know that 11 I can confirm I see are developing so 11 out of 22 let's see if I can hatch the 50% I have fingers crossed, I hope you have great success with your hatch keep me updated on your progress lets see how many of our eggs actually hatch !
I bought a dozen pekin bantam eggs. 11 were fertile. To be fair, my homemade incubator was all over the place. No chicks, but that was more down to me. I have another dozen in right now. 6 marans and 6 silkies. This time in a proper incubator. All 6 silkie eggs and maran eggs were fertile. I know 1 silkie egg has stopped developing.

I have a home made incubator too but purchased of eBay by a man who makes them and we'll my temperature is pretty stable stays between 100-100.5 and it has a built in fan only cost £40 with delivery I can get around 25-28 eggs in there. How far did you eggs get before they stopped growing ?
9 made it to lockdown. 5 of them pipped internally, but failed to get any further. I intervened, and one lived for a day and a half. I had a terrible time with the temps going up and down, and getting the humidity high enough at the end.

I can't keep my humidity below 35 and I've never added water ! I hope my 12 developers make it !
I like to keep mine between 40-50. So you should be good to go.

Really ? Is this considered a dry hatch ? Hopefully I should be able to get my humidity pretty high if its high without adding water
