This is the chicks grandfather was a red phoenix and grand mother was a black oriental game hen with blue skin/flesh. Then I breed the offspring and it have me this. Little red chick with gray/blue lines and green get. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Since my yokohama hen doesn't want to brood, I tossed some of her eggs under another hen and she has hatched out some little cuties over the weekend. I'll try to get a photo. They are 3/4 yokohama, 1/4 phoenix cross.

It was so surprising they actually hatched at all.. The hen had them scattered around in the bottom of the coop.. left them un brooded for a few days... then brooded off and on again. I was going to pick them up and toss them... but I kept getting distracted, good thing I am such a scatter brain! So, now I'm excited to see how they turn out!
