My girls have some hobby Silkies that they have entered in the fair this year and in the last few weeks unfortunate events have taken two of them. Since all three were roos, I thought I might luck up and find someone here looking to "thin the herd". I've got to have the chickens by Wednesday, so locale would be essential to keep costs reasonable. I'm near Raleigh, NC. (And, at this point, it'll probably need to be someone in NC for me to get them in time)
Specifically, what I need to find replacements for are:
1 - White, non-bearded Silkie rooster (1+ yr old)
1 - Black, non-bearded Silkie cockerel (less than 1 yr old)
Needle in a haystack, huh?
If you're looking to move some roos out, I'm looking for a reasonable price. We raised the ones we lost from chicks and I can't replace that at any price, so I'm just looking to fill the three empty slots at the fair as cheaply as I can.
Thanks!
