2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

I received my cakke surprise,I am pleased but wish I received turkeys and geese so I ordered the barnyard combination from Murray Mcmurray Hatchery they should arrive this week and I ordered frizzle bantams from them as well which will come next week,and now I ordered 4 Pilgrim geese frome them also with a ship date of June 2 and I have some Royal Palm turkeys ordered from Ideal with a shipping date of June 2 I may have over done it this year!!! I will post pics as I receive them!!

Two blues bred together creates 50% blue chicks, 25% black, and 25% splash. Looks like you got one of each color! The silvery yellow one is your splash Orpington.

That's why Blue Orps are often referred to as BBS Orps - Blue, Black, Splash! Very pretty

Blue Andalusians, Araucanas, Buttercups, Golden Penciled Hamburgs and Phoenix. They sent me the free exotic and two extra chicks, which was good because we lost three.

Hopefully my broody mommy will hatch her eggs this weekend.
 
Back when I first started this thread, my first order I shared with you all included 12 Dark brahmas, 8 partridge cochins and 5 BB red malays. All of which are straight run coming on June 30. Well the hatchery called a few weeks back and said that If I don't get them by the beginning o June, I cant get the malays. I couldn't so the chicks are now hatching June 11th, but I sadly wont be getting my malays.

Aww, that really stinks. I tried to add different breeds to my order and push out the shipping date, but they said if I pushed the order out, then some of my other breeds wouldn't be available. So I had to keep my original order. Are you going to order malays for a future date?

No probably not. I already got 5 malay pullets from my order in April. SO its not a huge deal that Im not getting them. I just really wanted to have a malay rooster.
