Just to add: If you do decide to pen him, it´ll only be for a short while...once the breeding season is coming to an end, they all calm down again. And it´s important to pen him with the goose he likes, (as long as it´s not the one the other gander already has chosen!) as they´ll make a couple and stick close together most of the time for their life-times.
