So, I had been meaning to clean out the horse side of the barn/coop - but kept thinking of all the other things I'd rather do (like, pretty much ANYTHING else, lol). Technically it's a stall, but for the most part we have always just left it open and let it be used as a run-in shelter, so it gets mucked out a couple of times a year and it is time to do it before the winter freeze sets in.
Well, tonight the neighbor came over and asked if I would "let" him clean it out for his garden...........gee, let me think about that a minute........I mean, I was really looking forward to doing it myself........ I was feeling generous so I even offered to send the "spreader crew" () over to help him get it spread around the plot once he gets it all hauled over there. Then he tells me that a buddy of his at work was asking where he kept getting all his horse manure and has asked if he thought we might be willing to "let" him have some too. I told Charlie to tell him to bring his pick-up and a shovel - he can go out the back gate and take all of Mt. Volpoopius he wants!
