Nor could I, but I do admit that it's an experience everyone should go through at least once in life. I'm a big fan of "do-it-yourself" organic poultry farms, it gives you some new perspective and a lot of respect for where your food comes from, you know?

Heh...sorry for getting off-topic.

Yeah , I know what you mean!
I would love to do it in a way but I would cry my eyes out having to kill one.
I live on a farm aswell.. but I only help feed the calves...seeing any animal hurt or suffering tears me apart!
I suppose if it's 'do it yourself', the ducks have a lovely life before they are on the dinner plate and not stuck in cages!

Sfraker;

Thank you I feel your comments are well worded and reasonable.

It's so easy for individuals to judge and anti up with criticism via the internet that it becomes common place. Just taking the time to read the BYC "TOSS" could show people that hijacking a thread with a drole line of comments that amount to "what he is doing is bad" and "poor me for being an animal advocate" is not what these forums are provided for.

I have birds that have sufferd frost bite.

I myself have also had frost bite.

Bad things happen in real life. Some we heal and get over it, some leaves it's marks forever and others are far worse.

But I as an individual am not going to jump on a forum and bash someone for letting themselves be vulnerable, putting out fair and uncensored information about themselves and best of all. DOING.

I have a production farm attitude, not a petting zoo. I have received similar criticisms simply because
I raise animals for slaughter. I also believe equine slaughter should be legal (in the states) I hold my views and stand up to them, and I do not paint myself as abused by an individual with some vague code of morals.

Go 50 ducks guy. I'll continue to support him. And the true sense of openness that he presents himself with.

Me!!!

That guy needs help! He's like some kind of physco, you dont just let your ducks to suffer the way he does.

I disagree!
And im not a fan of foxes or cyots either but the way he acts when he kills something is inhumane

 if he was in the USA he could be arrested for cruelty and animal abuse for what he does to his ducks and the conditions they live in!!

@Amykins
@buff goose guy
@Quailsong
I disagree! His large scale farming of his FOOD as he makes it very clear to viewers is very humane, and he takes great care of them!!!

@Amanda39
and all the other Duck Adventure lovers...Me too, Im hooked, watch every vid, and am in suspense till he posts the next update. Some of his vids have been very helpful to me in raising my ducks.

Sorry guys about all the editing, my phone wasnt letting me post text and I am still getting the hang of how this forum works too. @ everyone we are here to help one another not be negative and criticize and pick other poultry keepers apart!!!

Very strong words, aren't they? The fact of the matter is, he's overrun, refuses to learn about the animals he's in charge of and as a result his birds are borderline neglected. It's one thing to be overwhelmed; it's quite another to intentionally refuse good advice and veterinary care. And again I remind you, this is the man who complains about predators yet continues to kill and string up rotting carcasses in his tree in order to attract more.

Please read above. There's "poultry keepers" and then there's a man who sics his viewers on people like they're his own personal army of 4chan trolls, including large businesses, and purposefully ignores veterinary advice from viewers that would greatly improve the lives of his birds, simply out of spite. Not exactly the hallmarks of a decent human being.

Sounds a little paranoid to me but you are entitled to his opinion. "Viewers vetinary advice" :-D
Im sure he has no control over any of his viewers, and definitely does not "sic" them on anyone...

And I did read the whole thread, each and every post,hence the specific @ tags, so I was clear which ones I was commenting on.

I respectfully disagree with the ones that think Matt is neglectful, cruel, or otherwise, and I dont want to discuss it further.

For those who wish, watch this vid, he's using his show to help the less fortunate, then like, subscribe, and share, if you want to
