No poultry shows around here and I don't have transportation anyhow. But I'll try to find a site for that silkie association, thanks.

For English orpington eggs, you really can't go wrong wit Blue Waltz Orps, and they are located in Simms, TX. They have lots of gorgeous, rare colors. I have shipped eggs from them several times (to Colorado) and had a decent hatch rate. Plus they are great to work with. I will pm you the email!

Thanks so much, but they no longer ship eggs, just chicks, and I can't afford their chicks.

Incidentally, I have a fully functional breeding flock of Tolbunt Polish now, and will have Calico silkies later this season. Are you still interested?

I need to update my op, I found tolbunts. I have eggs in the bator now and chicks coming this week. But I still want the calico silkies. When will they be available and how much will they be?

Probably in a month or so. I have to section them off and the girls have to start laying, which they have not yet. I imagine it would be around $4.00 and egg, and $10.00 chick. That's usually what I ask for for my silkies.

$10 a chick sounds great to me. What is the min/max number of chicks? How much for shipping? Do you use a heat pack?

Using a heat pack is based on the number of chicks for me. So, I typically have a min of three, and use a heat pack; upwards of fifteen I typically don't. However, my Calico flock isn't very big right now, so a max would be as many that hatched out. I could probably get ten chicks(?), but like I said, My flock hasn't started to lay yet, so it's contingent on them. And shipping is probably still around fifteen dollars. It might be down to twelve. I haven't shipped chicks in a while.
