Review of PapaPoultry.

I order a mix of chicks from Papa at the first of this month and I just received them. They were shipping as expected and promised. As it goes ordering from a breeder you can't always expect to get just what you ordered because you never know what's going to happen when you put eggs down for hatching. So some of the ones I ordered didn't work out but he contacted me with what he did know and with what he didn't know until hatch day he replaced with equal or better chicken breeds.

I am extremely please with my new babies! He supplied me with extra chicks in case something went wrong and I got more than my money's worth. He replied to email and PM notes and is very knowledgeable on his breeds!

I would and will order from him again. I will recommend him to all my friends!!

Sounds like Papa is good at communicating with his clients. That seems to be the biggest problem I hear from folks dealing with hatcheries. ...lack of communication.

Here are the pictures I promised. I ordered 8 I believe and he sent me 11, so like I said I got more than my moneys worth. This isn't all of them but it is the ones that would work with me this morning. LOL

He contacted me to let me know some how he over looked the Sussex and asked me what I would like to have in their place and I gave him some ideas. The Wyandotte had not hatched by time to ship so you can see the differences in what I ordered and what I received and I believe what he sent over compensated for everything. I am not at ALL disappointed. The idea was to get some that I have been wanting and then to get some for a variety.

My only problem is I'm having trouble telling which ones are what. LOL
My Polish chick had just hatched before he ship and I was worried she was a little weak but the wee little one is so spunky and fast she wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get her picture. LOL

WOW!! Those chicks are SO healthy-looking!! Fat little fuzzy-butts!!

I know right!! I love the fluff! I am just so thrilled with what I got. You never know and with so much negative out there I wanted to make sure I posted the positive and good!

I too recently placed an order with Jeff at Papas Poultry! (English Orpingtons)
My chicks are scheduled to hatch and ship around the 14th of Oct. He has been fantastic at keeping me up to date every step of the way and answering all my questions. Totally upfront and honest and I can't wait to get my little fuzz nuggets! So far, I would definitely do business with him again!
