. Ive been told these r meat birds im new to all this and i just wanna make sure that they r not dual purpose before i go to puttin them in the freezor lol thanks

How old are they? A hybrid meat bird will be of slaughtering age in 8 to 12 weeks depending on feed and if cockerels or pullets and your dress weight will range in that age from 3 to 5 lbs. Dual purpose take longer, I've slaughtered dual cockerels at 14 weeks and gotten 3 lb dress weight so you can tell by their growth if they are White Rock dual purpose or Cornish Cross meat bird.

They must b white rock ive had them for a month and they was prob that old when i got them only two have really jumped more than the others and i think they may b roos

What is the protein content of your feed? The meaties grow quickly but I'm told if you reduce their protein content below 18% it takes far longer for them to reach market weight than the normal 8-12 weeks. Mine were fed 24% starter for 3 weeks and 20% meat bird maker till they went to freezer camp. At 8 weeks I butchered six that averaged 8lbs dressed wt. At 10 weeks the remaining birds averaged 9.25lbs dressed.

These are NOT standard or hatchery White Plymouth Rocks.....Look like slow growing Meat Cornish Crosses that have not been fed a high quality, plentiful diet...Good luck
