Has anyone had this problem?

I'm not sure if it's because these are the first birds we've eaten and the meat just tastes plasticy or if it is due to the shrink bags? They were red rangers, butchered at 12 weeks.

I've never had a problem with plastic-tasting meat and I use those shrink wrap bags all the time. Could it be that you used water that was too hot and it melted the plastic a bit so that it stuck to the chicken skin? 12 week old red rangers should be fine tasting birds.

No sticking. I think our water was the right temp. :( I'm cooking these two in a sauce and we'll see how they are!
