Mom and her 3 chix were forgotten by human mom the other night and Mom put herself to roost on a shelf appx 5 ft. up and the chix managed to get themselves up with her and were happily under her wings when I finally remembered my error! And I remembered to round them up last night, before dark, and when I went back, after dark, they were on their broody pen roost which is appx 3 ft off ground. Still amazes me every time how strong the little ones can be.
