So I have 5 chickens (black astrolorp, light Brahm, gold layced wyndott, barred rock, Americana). They all are laying so we get 4-5 eggs a day. Over the past couple days The Light Brahm, Daisy, has started just laying on the eggs all day and night. I go to collect them and she makes noises at me, even pecked me once. It didn't hurt just surprised me.

Is this a normal behavior or something I should be worried about? Is there a way to break her of this new habit, or don't worry about it?

I've never had a lady do this before so unsure. Thanks for the help.
 
Your Daisy has gone broody - meaning her hormones have kicked in and told her she wants to set and hatch eggs. As you do not have a rooster in your flock, this will not work - but she doesn't know that. If you have no desire to add to the flock right now (by getting her chicks or eggs to set) and you wish to have your egg production continue (broodiness causes laying to cease) you will want to break her out of her broodiness. I would suggest reading up on that process as there are several approaches people use and too many threads on the issue to link....a quick search using the search function will give you all the information you could want and then some.
 
X2, sounds like you have a broody hen. If you don't want her to set eggs there is a nice article in the Learning Center about broodys and how you can discourage them if you want to https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/encouraging-or-discouraging-broodiness-in-your-hens I like using a separate cage like what they call a broody breaker, it usually works really well. I usually just use a wire dog crate, the bottom wire spacing is usually around 1x4"... you want it really uncomfortable for her to sit on. I put a couple of perches in there and hang small food/water dishes on the sides so they can't stand or sit in them. Put the crate out in the open, I prefer to put them in the middle of the barn aisle or coop so there is a lot of activity and light... you want the hen to be bothered. They don't like to walk on the wire so they spend pretty much all the time on the perches, that works pretty well for most of them. I've never tried it, but some people have mentioned putting a small fan under them to cool them off even more.
