Hey, I have multiple Muscovy ducks and I have had an issue twice now with the same duck. The laboured breathing and wheezing. She is going on 4 years old now and I have found she did great the first time with liquid sporanox. We got the meds through the vet and put her in a small bathroom with dry heat for 6 weeks. She was better and went through the rest of the winter and summer just fine. She had what we believe was a fungal infection. You have to act on it fast! Thy need DRY DRY air and lots of fresh water and food. She now has it again as it has been very damp outside. So we are assuming she is easily prone to fungal infections. So if she makes it this year through the winter, next year I won't even wait. I will be bringing her inside as soon as the damp hits! Because this sporanox is $150/Canadian for a bottle and you may need to get two depending on how long you keep her on it!
