Gone and done it

OK...I haven't been on here in a long time... Just a quick question from Ky.about a rare interest in a Chicken Breed called "Citron Spangled Bantam" how hard is it to capturing that light brown color??? Thanks everyone from a curious Kentucky gal....

kind of bummed...shipping shows delivery Wednesday. That will mean 48hrs in that box. Hope they all make it thru that ordeal. I thought for sure they would be here today.

Got a call this morning from the post office at 6:30 a.m. that they were here! For some reason I was afraid I was going to get there and have a dead one in the box. Much to my relief all 6 were fine...although I do have an Australorp runt..but she should be alright. Post office guy was excited too...we peaked in and one tried to leap out! Got them home and in the prepared brooder. Got them the electrolyte mix and medicated feed. Dipped the beaks and set the off. They huddled under the light for 5 minutes then were running around investigating. It took one going to the feed and the others followed. Took 30 min for first one to investigate water but pretty soon they were all around the waterer too. So all is good. Runt was the first napper...scared my wife....she was sprawled out with her neck stretched out sleeping. Others followed off and on. Hoping they all make it. So far they are doing fantastic.
