Walter is doing much better. After thoughts of the possibility of him being broody I have been trying to make him get up and walk around. Over this weekend I needed to go out of town and the wife and daughter had all day softball tournament. So she just put Walter in the back yard not the run and put him in the coop at night. I got home just after dusk Sunday and found Walter perched on a shelf next to the coop. when I put him in there he jumped up on the lower perch in the coop and I think thats where he stayed the night. This morning as soon as the girls got up the fight was on. I put some food in the run the two others came out and Walter stayed in the coop. I just opened the coop and run into the back grassy yard. They haven’t been fighting with the room rome. Walter is dissed from the other two but at least no fighting so far. Walter will still most of the time but will get up and walk. He is eating much more. Just now found him in the coop nesting box sitting on a warm egg. ether he just laid it or jumped in there after one of the others laid one. They are so close in color not sure if it was his or not. When I took the egg away he jumped out of the nesting box and jumped in the yard and started looking for food.
So yea looks like things are looking up for Walter. Still not sure if he was sick or broody ether way he seems to be more like a normal chicken but not back to himself. One of the other eastereggers quit laying a few weeks ago and is molting so I hope to find another egg in there this afternoon. When all are laying we get tow light brown eggs and one green egg.
