Hi Lual, If you want to try for the golden cuckoo Marans chicks again I will be setting eggs this weekend. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the show. How are the Ameraucanas?

Your Ameraucanas are doing wonderful, and quite active giving me bluest of the blue eggs. I love these gentle, friendly, and beautiful birds. Contrary to common belief, they are very calm, and have a habit of following me about a foot behind where ever I go. I wonder if your AMs laying as well, and if so, I would love to have some more. I have not posted any photos for the longest time, but will soon for I think you would like to see them : )

More stuff about the show, read on Facebook. Someone posted his opinion that free ranging birds should not be brought to the show. Several people that I respect agreed with him.
My birds do free range or range in pens that are exposed to sparrows & songbirds. They are not exposed to waterfowl. I don't think I live directly in the flyway, rarely see ducks or geese fly overhead. None of my birds are sick. I do visual inspection every day on every bird.
Do you think that the show staff does not want free ranging birds entered in the show?
