I have plenty of food and water available in their run during the day. Do I also need to have food and water in their coop at night? I currently do but just wondered if it was a necessity?

Once they go to the roost for the night, they stay there unless they have lights to see by. As long as you open the door to let them out at a reasonable time in the morning, you do not need to provide food or water in the coop.

Some people feed only in the coop, some only in the run, some feed both places, all for their own reasons. It's pure personal preference as long as you don't make them go hungry or thirsty after they wake up.

Thanks. I have an automatic door opener so they are let out at daybreak each day. I was asking as it is just more work to keep food and water in the coop. Figured if it was not needed I would eliminate that step.
