Hello all,
I'm looking to get a few pheasants and on the permit form for New Jersey you have to put down a veterinarian who can take care for them. I've tryed looking some up but have not found anything really. I'm asking if anyone in New Jersey (around Burlington) who knows a vet I can use. Or if anyone knows how to go about looking for one.

Thanks! :D

It's hard enough trying to find a bird vet anywhere never mind a gamebird vet.Why can't you just put your local vets name down?I doubt the police who people put down as a vet. There's not much a vet can tell you about a gamebird anyhow.
You can put backyard chicken as a vet. There are lots of knowledgable people on here.
In N.H.,Tony.

I think it's really for the other animals the permit is used for like skunks and racoons but nj fish and wildlife didn't want to make two different forms.
I'm getting ready to email the vet down the road to ask if I can put them down.

Just curious as I'm looking to do the same thing but did you just put down your local vet to satisfy the permit application? How was the process ? Where they thorough or not really care.
