I am so happy I read your post. I don't feel so alone in this world now. My husband is the same way. He says do you have to go out that door every time one make the egg laying song. I said yes, she wants me to know she laid an egg and when she hears the door open she comes running and singing. I use to look so forward to those songs. I just love chickens. They are very smart too. I never knew how smart until I have raised some.
