Silkies......genders?

Here is a video I took of the silkies this morning in the chicken tractor.
The black silkie does seem to be "pretty-ing" up more than the splashes?
So my fingers still crossed that the black on is our roo!

Hi,
I have 3 silkies who are now 13 weeks old, two are Golden Partridge and one is Black in colour. Any ideas on gender? The largest golden partridge looks kind of fluffier than the others, so I am guessing a roo. But the others - any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Ella!

Sorry, I am still unable to tell the sex(es) of mine, and they will be 22 weeks old on Tuesday. But you sure do have some very nice looking Silkies there!

None of mine have crowed yet, but I do think Silkies (or bantams in general) tend to mature later. So we are still waiting to see.

That bearded black bird might end up being your boy. I don't raise non-beardeds, but I know large combs and wattles are normal for them. Bearding suppresses combs and wattles, so they should be small, even on the boys. With mine, males usually start out with wide combs and pullets are narrow. It doesn't always work out that way, but I pretty much always assume that my chicks with wider combs are boys (and they usually are). If they turn out to be girls, then I just count it as a happy surprise, but that normally doesn't happen.
WOW! So far you are right! The black silkie CROWED this morning - 5 times!! We are very excited! Also, he is the sweetest, most docile one of the three - absolutely LOVES to be picked up and petted.

The other two, not so much.

They will be 22 weeks on Tuesday - now I'm hoping we have at least 1 hen. I guess we'll play the waiting game a little longer.
