Any words of encouragement in the mean time would be excellent (I'm leaving right as the bell rings at 2:30 to head home I'm just so worried about her).
Tonight I'll have my DH put up a chick cam so I can check on them from work.
Word of advice, maybe. Suspend your heating pad underneath the wire and cover the whole thing with a pillow case, then tightly bungee the pillow case on so it doesn't sag underneath. Nothing for a chick to get caught in, wedged in, strangled on, etc.
Having lost two girls in a similar fashion, I understand your fears. You saved her that is good.
Hopefully it will all be okay when you get home. You have it being light and them being more active during the daylight on your side.
When you get home try to figure out how to remove anything they can get stuck in and under. It will work just a learning curve to get it right. As someone here said, "Chicks find creative ways to commit suicide"..
Blooie is doing well post #3035
Glad your baby is doing good! Hopefully they will not come so close to their demise the next time they find a spot that needs work.
Great to hear. You are new so I assume you are pitch hitting for Blooie. We love her.
