BYC is not responsible for transactions outside the BST area of the forum.  All swaps are at the swappers risk and in no way will the Staff be involved in disputes.  All disputes should be handled privately as per BYC Rules.  No feedback and no feedback threads are allowed in these swaps.  Do not report issues with the swaps using the report button.  Please resolve all issues privately with your swap partner and/or the the swap originator.  BYC discourages all transactions outside the regular BST area.  Non monetary swap transactions are only allowed in this forum and only in a Swap thread.  You must be 18 or over to participate in any swap, trade or any other transaction on BYC.  All BYC Rules apply.

DISCLAIMER:  BYC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SWAP.  BYC is not responsible for items sent, received or not received.  Please do not pm the mod about your item, please PM me.  If you do not receive your item, I can not make them send them but will make sure they do not participate anymore.  There is a risk with any swap that you may not receive your item promised, please keep that in mind while participating.

SWAP RULES - This list is subject to change so please check back periodically.  I reserve the right the ban anyone that appears is not playing by the rules set forth.

YOU MUST BE 18 OR OVER TO PARTICIPATE

NEW MEMBERS MUST BE A BYC MEMBER FOR 3 MONTHS TO PARTICIPATE.  THEY MUST SHIP THEIR ITEM WITH VERIFIED CONFIRMATION BEFORE THE ITEM CLAIMED WILL BE SENT TO THEM.  NEW MEMBERS CAN ONLY ACCEPT ONE SWAP AT A TIME AND MUST SEND THAT ITEM WITH CONFIRMATION BEFORE THEY CAN CLAIM ANOTHER ITEM.  ONCE I HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE NEW MEMBER HAS SENT 4 ITEMS, THEY MAY PARTICIPATE WITHOUT RESTRICTION. If you believe that you have fulfilled enough CONFIRMED swaps on another swap thread, please PM me and I will contact the moderator of that swap and might clear you here as well.  SEE BELOW FOR HOW TO CLAIM AND VERIFY SHIPMENT OF YOUR ITEM.  FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN BEING BANNED FROM SWAPPING.

LIMIT 3 SWAPS PER MEMBER PER WEEK (SUNDAY-SATURDAY) Sunday starts at 12 midnight Central time.

To claim an offer:

Be the first to post mine and then state your offer in the same post.  Please post pictures of your item(s) if possible or better yet, get a swap page!  It is helpful to post a link directly to your swap page.  You may offer a choice of items if you wish, but the first items must be at least 6 purebred chicken eggs or equivalent other fowl eggs.  If the thread stalls for 6 hours, please add to your offer.  Many BYC members make very nice items such as homemade soaps, jellies & jams, candies, chicken saddles, egg carton labels, chicken drawing & portraits, or may have plant starts, seeds and others may just have some items such as books, egg cartons, or other items either new or used that they no longer have a need for but that some other member may find useful.  If sending hatching eggs please send eggs that are no older than 4 days when shipped.

As a rule of thumb offers must be equal to the value of 6 pure breed eggs.  Examples: 4 - 6 iris bulbs, 6 blackberry starts, 1 16oz jar of jam, 1 hard bound book or 2 paperback books, 2 bars of homemade soap or 2 - 3 chicken saddles.  These are just examples and only to be used as a guideline.  Please offer what you feel is a comparable offer that can be shipped in one of the priority boxes.

This swap works like a a group of people standing around in a circle.  One person says, "Hey I have 6 purebred eggs that I am willing to give up."  Then someone else in the circle says, "Mine on those eggs, I have a 16 oz jar of rhubarb jam I just made that I will offer up."  Someone else in the circle says, "Mine on the jam, I've got homemade soap."  You do not necessarily trade back to the person whose offer you claimed.  Please ask if you are unsure.

When you claim a trade please PM or email the person who offered the item and work out the shipping arrangements.  If you are a new member, let the member know when you send your PM so they know they should not ship until they receive confirmation that you have shipped your item offered and then follow up with a PM of the confirmation number once your item is shipped.  The member shipping should check the confirmation number online to make sure the item is shipped before sending their item.  The shipper is responsible for the shipping costs.

When items are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email or PM to the swappee to let them know that the item is on its way.  All items must be shipped with tracking # and please email or PM that information to the swappee.  Items other than hatching eggs should be sent within 2 - 3 days.  Hatching eggs should be sent within a week.  If you cannot meet this timeline keep in contact with your swappee so they are aware of why you are unable to ship.  Eggs need to be shipped Priority mail, however other items may be mailed at less expensive means providing you get a delivery confirmation number.  In the event that an item is mailed but not received your confirmation number is your proof.  If the confirmation number shows that the post office confirms receiving the item and the item is lost then the swap will be considered honored.  If a swap item is mailed without a confirmation number and is not received then the person sending the item, must allow the person that did not receive their item to choose something else and then send that item to them.

The main thing is to Have a Good Time!  This swap is a great way to trade things you no longer use for things you can use.  In order for all to have a good time, please fulfill your end of the swap agreement.  Also, please keep those things to yourself that you know you should and PM me if you have questions or concerns.

Are you requiring 6 eggs of all types, or just chicken? Because 6 goose or turkey eggs are a much higher value than 6 chicken eggs & 6 quail eggs are a much lower value. May need some clarification there.

Great thinking! I don't have anything but chickens now, so sometimes I forget the difference, I will edit it, thank you!

I think I have a pretty fair egg number requirement over on the Other Fowl thread if you want to borrow that section.

They lay really well and it is a pretty light blue egg. I have 3 laying 6 out of 7 days of the week. My EEs lay the best out of my entire flock, well as well as these guys. I thought my brown Leghorns would be the best layers, but no.

We would be interested in your sbels. Or EE combination. We Had Easter eggers that were suppose to be aracaunas before, and miss the variety in my egg basket.
I can offer buff goose, buff duck, rhodebar or dorking eggs.
