3 of my 13 weeks turkey as sinus, after draining the sinus with syringe, I injected the sinus with nytosin as recommended by my vet.
Am afraid because the face swell up beyond normal.
Please help, coz I don't want to loose them

Do you have a picture of the turkeys face?

A vet told you to drain the sinuses? Then inject into the sinus????


Does the vet know what MS is?


Oh and I see this is your first post! Welcome to BYC.

If it is MS I would use tetracyline and give the birds time. It will most likely not kill them but they will gain little or no weight for the next 2-3 months.....
 
Welp. The sister went away today. We gave her of time and attentions but it needed be done. The first week she wouldnt put any weight on the leg then bout wed last week she seemed to be tryin and would put just a tad bit of weight on it so we thought ok this is the last shot lady. She wasnt eatin well but she was eatin then sun that pretty much stopped. So today was the day. When paul called me out to clean her he showed me her leg.... i felt like such the ass for givin her all this time to try heal. I think she slipped a tendon cause it wasnt dislocated but it surely was not holdin itself at all where it should have been. So yes i am glad we did what needed be done but damnit i am mad we didnt do it sooner. :/. Our poor bird hurt for her last days here.

I would have done the same... we try to give them a chance to heal.... it's hard to know how bad they are.:hugs
