A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Things here have been full, we drive out to Utah tomorrow after I get off work to purchase a pickup. With all the hauling I try to do my Subaru was just not cutting it..
I am getting 6-7 turkey eggs a day now with 21 currently in the bator, between those and the Nn eggs both bators are full. I plan to candle Tuesday and pull any clears..... that should m as ke room for just a few, right?

Alicia...you go girl!!
Aurora....the girls would stun in Christmas outfits! And the boys! I can see it now!!
Found Daisy playing Beyonce's " All the Single Ladies" on her IPod yesterday. She may be trying to tell me something .

Mister and Lil got their own honeymoon suite! I was going to use it for the bourbon bunch but there wasn't enough room for that many. They are sharing it with a few chickens but it will work. Tonight, after dark, Tommy and the bourbon ladies will be relocating to the chicken coop. Romeo and Phil will have Cuddles, Princess, Pebbles, Sweet Pea, and the Baby to themselves. This will be the first time I've actually, mostly seperated the turkeys. It will be interesting.

They are cute together! Hope all goes well. How long will you keep them separated? Long enough to collect hatching eggs?

Anybody else pairing up their birds?

Still waiting for my Christmas miracle of an eggs. At this point I'm open to Turkey or chicken eggs. SLACKERS!

Long enough to collect and hatch some eggs. Then unfortunately, I think Mister will need to be "retired". He's been being quite the aggressor towards the other toms. I love him but I can't keep him forever seperated.

So we know who will be the guest of honor at thanksgiving 2019.

More rain today. The girls have muddy wet little feet. They are demanding pedicures.

Still no eggs. But have noticed Annie is becoming more vocal. She's a talker. She's been walking up to me & chatting away the last few days. I'm looking under any rock for a sign of forth coming eggs.

I noticed the Christmas in the Coop contest. Aurora...maybe next year we design those little Mr. & Mrs. Claus outfits & get pics of them on their roosts! Or maybe one big Sant tom & a bunch of reindeer. Not sure even Daisy would wear antlers. Much less a red reindeer nose on her beak.

Anybody supplement during the winter? Any special treats? Anything to help them through the cold? Mine have access to winter weeds. I dont worry about them as much in the winter as I do in the summer. But some of you are living in pretty harsh conditions. Although my girls seem to prefer this weather much more than our summers.

Daisy was pretty funny yesterday. Young couple with a stroller...silly bird started hopping, flapping & dancing around. They actually crossed the street. Cant blame them. Annie was yelling at them & Daisy was acting like a nutcase.

Lol, I take it they weren't familiar with the girls then? Seems like everyone that knows them down there would typically stop and talk to them lol.

I think that would be an awesome idea for next year for Christmas in the coop! You could dress the chickens up as reindeer and the girls as elves or Mrs Clause maybe? I could do the big Santa lol

Mine get their naturally occurring supplement, Russian Olives. They are abundant as always. They fatten up quite nicely on the olives.
