They look good! Nice job! Were they both from this spring or were they older? Where do you get your big bags at? Does Wal-Mart carry those things? We need some! lol

I'll have to let you all know how ours turns out. He looks like he'll be a decent size so here's hoping!

R2elk....since an opportunity landed in your tree....will you process them?
That is the plan for the 2 toms. Now that they know where I am, I do not want them coming back during breeding season in the spring. It won't be long until it is light enough to "hunt" them so I should know soon.

I did not. The turds got down while I was putting the water on to boil. The one that gets fence stupid got left behind but the best I was able to do was get my hands on him. The last time I saw him, my turkeys had joined the chase so he is either hiding out somewhere or finally realized he could fly over the fence. The season is open until the end of the year. Maybe I will get another chance.

Turned out he was just hiding really good. My turkeys cornered him making it easy for me to finally collect him.

The fellow who comes to get the eggs, showed up while I was plucking him. I finished dressing the turkey and he went to his new home just in time for Thanksgiving.

One down and one to go.
