Quails as indoor pets?

They were both described as being 'very young'. The male has a reused band that says he's 18 years old which I doubt and the female is marked for 7 -14. Not sure if it was intentional but your images are very small. From what I can see you got some gorgeous birds though, I'd love to raise a feral colony in my yard but I don't want to accidentally take a male or female away from their nest if they have squabs. When I have my own place (which I say all the time) I hope to catch a male courting a female (that way I know they're both single) and see if they'll stick around after they give me a few offspring.

Here's a picture of my two: Ace and Ella. They were sold to me as American Flying Baldheads, the male has a bull eye but I don't mind.

Don't worry about it, I was able to see the larger pictures on your profile gallery. Thanks! I consider myself very fortunate to have them in my life and if they reproduce I am extremely curious to what their offspring will look like. Don't feel bad about having the feral pigeon, no judgement here! Like I said, hopefully some day I can have a few myself. I might also take in some that cannot be released from an animal rehabilitation center, I'd love to give a loving home to those who need it. If your pigeon has found a mate and has raised squab I am sure he's very happy and is living a fulfilling life. :)

Best,
Eric
