Hello all,

I have 23 eggs in the 'bator scheduled to hatch on Saturday (in 2 days). I was able to get two dozen of the darkest eggs I have ever seen from a local FCBM breeder. So dark, in fact, that I am not able to candle them. Zoinks!

This is my first time using the incubator so wish me luck.

Well, they started popping like popcorn on Friday night! Of the 23 I started with; 9 were duds, 12 hatched, and 2 were stuck in the shell and didn't make it.

Overall, I am happy with the hatch. I got these from a local breeder and can say that I would have blamed the "shipping" process for my 9 duds if I had ordered these through the mail. It was a good lesson for me that not all eggs are fertile and are going to hatch.
